Description: There's no arguing that Gainax's Girlfriend of Steel series is one of the strangest spin-offs ever to come out of a single episode. I mean, anything that has Rei smiling like that is just.. against all laws of nature. Still, it's an awesome trainwreck, if you're willing to put the time into it. As for the book, there's some great (and some mediocre) material in the beginning, with the real meat of it being an actual walkthrough of the game, which is amazingly useful. Altogether it's not the greatest book, though.
